Infinix unveiled its latest budget-friendly smartphone, the Note 50X 5G, in India on March 27, 2025, priced at Rs. 11,499. Powered by the world’s first MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset and running Android 15-based XOS 15, the device promises strong performance and advanced features. Available exclusively on Flipkart starting April 3, it targets cost-conscious buyers looking for 5G connectivity and gaming prowess.

The Infinix Note 50X 5G comes in two variants: 6GB RAM with 128GB storage at Rs. 11,499 and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage at Rs. 12,999. Buyers can grab an effective price of Rs. 10,499 for the base model with a ₹ 1,000 bank discount or exchange bonus. It is offered in three stunning colors: Sea Breeze Green with a vegan leather finish, as well as Titanium Gray and Enchanted Purple with metallic backs.

Under the hood, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset delivers impressive performance, supporting 90 fps gaming for a lag-free experience. Paired with a 5,500mAh Solid Core battery and 45W fast charging, the phone ensures long-lasting power and quick top-ups. Infinix claims that the battery maintains its durability through 2,300 charge cycles, which is a boon for heavy users.

The display is a 6.67-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and 672 nits peak brightness, offering smooth visuals for gaming and streaming. Its MIL-STD 810H certification and IP64 dust and splash resistance add to the rugged reliability. An infrared sensor doubles as a remote control for compatible devices, expanding the functionality.

Photography enthusiasts get a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and an AI lens, housed in an octagonal “Gem Kit” module with Active Halo Lighting. This dynamic LED feature beats for notifications, charging status, and selfies through the 8MP front camera with its flash. The design blends style and utility, with a slim 7.98mm profile and a weight of 198g.

Running XOS 15 on top of Android 15, the Note 50X 5G introduces AI-powered features like handwriting assistance, doodle-to-drawing conversion, and the Folax voice assistant. A collapsible dynamic bar mimics Apple’s dynamic island, effectively displaying alerts. Infinix promises two years of OS updates and three years of security patches, ensuring longevity.

The launch is in line with Infinix‘s strategy to dominate India’s budget 5G segment. The Note 50X succeeds the Note 40X 5G, which was launched in August 2024, and builds on the progress already made with a more powerful chipset and a larger battery. Its sub-Rs 12,000 price tag undercuts many rivals, making it a great choice for gamers and tech-savvy youngsters.

Flipkart’s microsite highlights a dedicated game mode, improving performance for titles that demand high frame rates. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor ensures quick, secure access, while the IR blaster adds a practical touch rare in this price range. The sale will begin at noon on April 3, with early adopters likely snapping up the discounted units quickly.

Industry watchers see the Note 50X 5G as a bold move by Infinix parent Transsion Holdings to capture India’s growing 5G market. Its combination of advanced specs, affordability, and durability could shake up the competition. However, the HD+ resolution may disappoint those looking for some sharp displays in the crowded smartphone landscape of 2025.

For budget buyers, the Infinix Note 50X 5G offers a strong mix of power, style, and value. With its launch today and sales approaching, it’s set to make waves on Flipkart and beyond.
