I know that “envy” is one of the seven deadly sins, however I couldn’t help it if we’re talking about Japanese gadgets. They must be the luckiest people alive, electronically speaking, since they got the latest stuffs first before the rest of the world. Take a look of this baby here. This Hitachi mobile phone uses HD TV image technology to produce the best image quality in a mobile phone. And no, Sire, it doesn’t use the “old” TFT screen. Instead, W53H uses an organic EL display, coupled with “Picture Master for Mobile” image processing engine, to reproduce image with vivid and deep colors.

I don’t really know what the technologies all about, but it sure does sounds good. To complement its TV functions, the handset also boasts background recording, timer recording, external memory recording, and so on.

The TV stand included also doubles as charging stand, so that the audience can enjoy 1Seg (I think the TV mobile service) in true HD TV style.

The best thing, all these technologies can be packed into a slim 14.2mm body. Since it’s exclusively made for Japanese market, some of the features sounds foreign and definitely will not work anywhere else (network dependent). The “Woo” is sold throught Japanese operator, KDDI.
