Yup, it’s time to say goodbye to those boxy and bulky speakers that you’re using for 5.1 surround system. Unless you’re a true audiophile or gadget freak who’s willing to settle for none than the best, Sony has the perfect fix for you.

Sony DAV-IS10B comes with five speakers at the size of golf ball, not basketball. The subwoofer is still pretty, while the DVD player/amplifier unit is relatively small. Only one button in sight - the eject button - since the function is accessed through touch-sensitive buttons at the top.

One complaint, the speaker is so small and so light that if you trip the cable, they will fall over anything you put them on. Installation is pretty troublesome, since you have to unscrew two parts in order to connect the speaker cable. Other than that, it worked like a charm. The volume is not that big, except for the multi mode.

Anyway, if you’re in the market for super-mini-sized speakers, this is the answer to your prayer. You still need to fork US$850 (around Rp 6,999,000).
