Dual-Core Notebooks Hit a New Low
More affordable than ever, Lenovo brings great news by offering new Dual Core notebook for a mere US$599, dubbed Lenovo G400. The 14 inch widescreen notebook will use Intel Dual Core T2080 processor and DOS operating system (the secret behind the low price). The processor is way faster than Celeron processor, which was the only (Intel-based) option at this price point.
Let’s hope other vendors follow suit and give us something to cheer on!!

I hope that baby can run on ubuntu or any other linux… Otherwise, I’m not buying. If it can only run in M$ Windoze then there’s no point in making it that affordable coz you’d still be spending on OS anyway. :p

IMHO, all Intel-based computers can run Linux. So, I’m pretty sure this “cheapo” can run it too.
